HOLIGAY Gift guide: part 2
I’m not gonna lie, I still have some gifts to buy. It’s not easy getting everything done this time of year! Trimming the tree? Making things merry and bright? Donning my gay apparel? It’s a lot!
If you haven’t quite completed your list either, worry not. I’m here with one more batch of Holiday 2024 recommendations that support LGBTQ+ brands:
Earlier this year I had a chance to chat with the founders of Bottoms Up Movement, the couple behind high-quality lubes, scrubs, and cleanses. Buying lube for a friend might sound like an awkward gift idea, but let’s be honest: Everyone needs it!
The (BUM) Box, available on Pink Robin, includes “everything a bum could ever need!” Featuring lube, scrub, and cleanse, this is a one-stop shop for your holiday bum love.
Looking for fun greeting cards, tees, and other gifts? I’m a huge fan of Ash + Chess. Whether you’re gifting queer tarot, sending a card with major Lisa Frank vibes, or you want to make a statement for animals and against gender reveals, you’ll find what you’re looking for right here.
Run by queer and trans couple Ashley and Chess, perusing their online marketplace for gifts will put a smile on your face, and I guarantee you’ll find something that will make your loved one very happy.
Little King is a lovingly curated home and design store located in Beacon, New York. Lucky for you, they have an online shop full of unique gifts and accessories. Lucky for me, they also stock items that kids love. Let’s face it, it’s not always easy to send gifts to our favorite kiddos and support queer brands at the same time. Little King makes it easy.
I have an 8-year-old who loves to create art. He certainly doesn’t get it from me, but drawing and painting brings him peace, so for birthdays and holidays he’s often gifted with exceptional art supplies, like the Gansai Tambi Watercolor Paint Set. “Gansai Tambi is a pigmented traditional Japanese paint that is designed for both professional artists and crafters.” Purchase a 12-color palette for $25, or spring for 48 colors for $85.
I am a firm believer that you can never go wrong gifting socks. Maybe it’s because my feet are perpetually cold, but I really love a good pair of socks. Meet Pals Socks, “mismatched socks on a mission to make the world friendlier!”
You can snag a 3-pair bundle for kids or adults right here at Pink Robin, or be extra with 12 Days of Pals! Christmas Socks Gift Bundle. This gift set includes chips & guac, frog & turtle, sloth & cheetah and more.
Finally, let’s talk queer romance. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need to read a good queer love story to restore my faith in the world, and I love nothing more than when these books are good enough to share with friends. Check out The Little Gay Shop’s bookshop, specifically their collection of queer romance and rom-coms.
This Austin, Texas based shop has created a physical space for the LGBTQ+ community, and their online shop is an extension of that, featuring tons of quality brands for gifting to ourselves and our loved ones. Did I mention they have a Little Gay Book Club?
THIS year, Shop small & shop queer
Hey there. Laura Leigh here. I’m a wife, writer, mama, small business owner, podcast host, and the Head of Content here at Pink Robin.
I love supporting the queer community and bringing shared experiences to life.
