Description

This design was created for Pride 2024 and grew out of a handful of conversations about LGBTQIA2S+ history, inclusion, community and identity. I set out to make something that would be a statement of both community and individuality (which is why there’s a whole series of Colors of Pride) sort of like boxes of actual crayons, you can pick the set of crayons that reflects who you are. Designs have been set up as identity flags & pride flags. So – if, like me, you’re a sapphic queer – you can grab the inclusive pride set, the inclusive + lesbian set, or just the lesbian set.

Oh, and, if you’re seeing the color names on the crayons and wondering who those people are or what the color name is referencing – that’s intentional. And there’s a web page over here that’s got a list of all the color names, the history or people that they’re referencing, and links to further reading.

If you don’t see your identity + community represented here – it’s not an oversight – it’s just that I’m a one-woman show and as usual this seemed like a smaller project when I started. Also – I want ALL of us to be seen and recognized and honored – so please, let me know what combination I’ve missed and I’ll add it!
